This is also true for the small screen, as The CW saw something similar develop on its own DC block of shows.

Flash vs. Arrowwas a two-episode crossover event that saw the biggest projects in The CW’s DC block of shows coming together to firmly establish its shared universe on the small screen. As the franchise expanded, such crossovers and cameos would become more and more commonplace,Flash vs. Arrowstill remains one of the most fondly remembered crossovers of the IP.
