With Disney’s D23 Convention starting today in Anaheim, California, fans will be treated to updates on several upcoming projects, including next year’s highly-anticipated sequelAlice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass. Before the festivities officially get under way,Walt Disney Pictures' Twitter feed debuted the first two posters forAlice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass, set to hit theaters August 13, 2025. The one-sheets feature our first look at the return ofJohnny Depp’s Mad Hatter andMia Wasikowskaas the title character Alice.

Very little is known about the story thus far, except that Alice is on a quest to help the Mad Hatter.

Also returning are several voice actors, includingStephen Fry(Cheshire Cat),Toby Jones(Wilkins),Alan Rickman(Blue Caterpillar),Michael Sheen(White Rabbit),Timothy Spall(Bayard), Paul Whitehouse (March Hare) and Barbara Windsor (Dormouse).James Bobin(The Muppets,Muppets Most Wanted) helms the film, which revisitsLewis Carroll’s beloved stories with an all-new new tale that travels back to Underland-and back in Time.

The sequel has been in post-production since January, so perhaps Disney will unveil the first trailer at theD23 Expothis weekend. The sequel will be part of the Worlds, Galaxies, and Universes: Live Action at The Walt Disney Studios panel on Saturday, August 15, 10:30 am in Hall D23. Other movies set to be presented during that panel areThe Jungle Book, Marvel’sCaptain America: Civil War,Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and there will likely be a few surprises as well.
