Chris Hemsworth has revealed he is into Thor becoming an Asgardian of the Galaxy forGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.Avengers: Endgameshowed Thor joining his old pals theGuardians of the Galaxyon the Benatar once again. However, this time he really doesn’t have anywhere to be, so why not fully join his space traveling friends for good? Hemsworth was recently interviewed and asked about the possibility and played coy about it actually happening, which is completely understandable knowing Marvel Studios' track record with keeping things under wraps.

The Thor character was starting to get old forChris Hemsworthafter 2013’sThe Dark World. The actor has not been shy about his thoughts on the character, but after working with Taika Waititi onRagnarok, he came back reinvigorated and ready to play The God of Thunder in a new way. This is the arc that Hemsworth would like to continue. When asked aboutGuardians of the Galaxy 3, he had this to say.

“I’d play that character again. I love it so much - especially if there’s something unique to do again with it. I felt like the last three films were very, very different each time. It really felt like a totally different character. And I don’t even know when or if they’re shootingGuardians of the Galaxy 3. After the Avengers press tour I kind of went and buried my head in the sand.”

After the interviewer expressed his own thoughts onThorjoiningGuardians of the Galaxy 3, Chris Hemsworth said, “I’ll work with any of those guys. Asgardians Of The Galaxy.” The actor went on to say he loves the idea and acts like he’s never heard it before, noting, “That’s actually great. You might’ve just got me my next job. Thank you, man.” While Hemsworth says he put his head in the sand after theAvengers: Endgamepress tour, the sand more than likely wasn’t very deep.

James Gunn will be back behind the cameraforGuardians of the Galaxy 3and finished his script over a year ago. While MCU fans would love to see theAsgardians of the Galaxyelement played out on the big screen again, Gunn may have other ideas. It has been heavily rumored that the highly anticipated third and final installment will put a great deal of focus on Rocket’s story arc. He and Thor are buds, so this could work, but it might not be in the cards.

With that being said, had James Gunn not been fired fromGuardians of the Galaxy 3, the movie would have probably been done with principal photography by this time. So, it is possible Thor and the Guardians were hanging out some more. Just like everything else Marvel Studios does, we won’t know until the movie premieres unless we end up seeing some pretty good leaked photos from the set.
