Diablo 4has announced all its updates for Season 7, including a new pet namedDorianand what is essentially a new class for the game. Here’s a rundown of all the content coming to the game.
Diablo 4 Season 7
Blizzard has revealed all the details about Season 7 of Diablo 4. As the game approaches its two-year anniversary, this new season introduces promising witchcraft-themed content.
The first and most important thing to note is that Season 7 of Diablo 4 will be available starting January 21, bringing exciting gameplay updates. While it doesn’t introduce a new class like the Spiritborn from Vessel of Hatred, it does include an array of new powers.
Though it’s not a new class, the witchcraft and coven theme of the season brings unique powers and abilities divided into branches, strongly reminiscent of theWitch Doctorclass from Diablo III.
Key Features
These witch-themed abilities aren’t tied to any specific class, allowing players access to a range of powers divided into four branches—including the ability to summon frogs, for example. However, that’s not all that stands out.
The season also features numerous new unique items, enemies, rewards, side activities, a story questline, and a new pet: the first avian companion in the game, named Dorian.
Dorian the crow can be unlocked by completing the entire season’s battle pass.
Dorian isn’t the first crow in Diablo 4, as Druids already have a spell that allows them to summon an entire flock of crows to attack enemies. However, Dorian is a non-combat pet, much like the tiger included in the Ultimate Edition of Vessel of Hatred.
As with all pets in Diablo 4, the crow can collect crafting materials and gold for you, saving you the trouble of clicking to gather loot. To unlock it, you’ll need to complete the full seasonal journey with your newly created seasonal character, which involves checking off a list of objectives.
This season also focuses on one of the most important aspects of the game’s endgame: the Tree of Whispers. The Tree expands its possibilities and will offer new and valuable rewards through its own set of additional challenges.
As Blizzard mentioned in its blog, the Tree of Whispers may reward you with an Ancestral Collection of items, guaranteeing at least one ancestral item in the pack.
