Starting the Fire Alarm Quest
To begin this quest, look for theFairy Godmotherand speak to her. I often spot her in her Forgotten Lands pumpkin house, but she occasionally roams around to chat with other villagers. Talk to her to begin the quest, prompting you to listen to her conversation withMerlin.
The two will discuss your quest to douse the Forgotten Lands’ fires, to which Merlin will exclaim that Dreamlight Magic is required. With that said, you’re the only one who can solve this problem.
More specifically, your watering can is the solution!

Create the Icy Enchantment for Your Royal Watering Can
Before you can craft the Icy Enchantment, you’ll have to obtain the following resources:
To get each resource, you’ll need access toSunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights,and theForgotten Lands, with resources like Dream Shards and empty vials available outside these areas. Fortunately, by this point in the game, you’ll already have these areas unlocked, and it is just a matter of farming each item.

Once you have each material, bring them to a crafting station and look for theIcy Enchantmentquest item under“Potion & Enchantment”. From here, head into your inventory and use the potion to upgrade your watering can! Now you can clear out all the fires in the Forgotten Lands.
How to Remove Green Fires in the Forgotten Lands
After you upgrade your watering can, you may clear out all thegreen fires in the Forgotten Lands. Honestly, while the quest asks you to clear five fire patches, I doused them all. It’s hard not to when you get something as helpful as this. You even get some glass in return!

Once you clear out at least five fires, return to the Fairy Godmother again. She’ll express her gratitude but comment that the Forgotten Lands is still dark and dreary. Her suggestion is to place somelights, paths and seatingto make the area cozy!
Decorate the Forgotten Lands to Make Them More Appealing
Following this conversation with the Fairy Godmother, you’ll now have to place the following items in the Forgotten Lands:
Admittedly, the game is pretty lenient on what you place here, and you may already have everything you need in your furniture menu if you collect a bunch of items as I do. Just keep everything in the quest regionoutlined in the picture below!
To give an idea of how I designed the Forgotten Lands for this quest, I crafted 25sinister brick roadsquares at my crafting station alongside fourgreen lampposts. I arranged them but forgot about the chairs, leading to me placing three random ones from my inventory. Fortunately, you can also craftwooden benchesat your crafting station if you don’t have any.

After placing each furniture item down, return to the Fairy Godmother to begin wrapping up the quest!
Finishing the Fire Alarm Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
From this point onward, you’ll mainly hear the Fairy Godmother thanking you for your creativity and hard work. Before finishing the quest, she’ll show you one last thing: afarming patch.
Don’t worry, though. You won’t have to do much with this pumpkin yet. The Fairy Godmother will tell you about the miracle at work and thank you for helping her protect it against the Forgotten Lands’ fires. Following this conversation, you’llcomplete the “Fire Alarm” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley!
