There are a variety of costumes and characters available for players to unlock inDragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Many of these are done through specific tasks available to players. As you play the game you’ll notice criteria for each unlocking as you play and continue the journey throughout the content available. Playing Episodes and Bonus Battles

Starting up a character episode will give more unlocks from doing their story.

Progressing through the game’s episodes is one of themost efficientways to unlock new costumes and characters. While not every episode will reward you with an immediate unlock, many of them will make new outfits and characters available. These options often vary depending on which arc you complete in an episode and who you play as. Goku’s episodes will bring out the most characters, as his episode is the most in-depth of the select characters you have available in the game.

Make sure to go through each available episode if you are looking to make the most out of the game. These will provide you with quite a lot of new characters and outfits. Most of the Z Fighters will be the ones with alternate outfits as well, since a vast majority of the foes they encounter only have one set design for them.

Bonus battlesare another way to gain some more rewards from Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero as well. These can be found within the Custom Battles section of the menu. Bonus battles are somewhat more limited in rewards and, just like in the episodes, you aren’t guaranteed any sort of unlocks. But they are still there for some nice rewards as well as new battles for you to try out new characters or explore some new scenarios you’d like to check out after completing the story arcs.

Many of these are also going to be locked until you complete certain battles in the episode stories, so make sure to always check back after completing an entire episode or story arc to see what’s new.

Buying Characters in the Store

Visit the in-game shop often after each episode.

Once a costume or character becomes available, you won’t be able to use it right away. Instead, you’ll need to head to the in-game shop to purchase it with Zeni. Some of these costumes and characters will alsovary in price, so it’s a good idea to save your Zeni for the items you really want. Some will cost 30,000 Zeni while others can amount to 130,000 and even more, depending on how powerful they are.

The more powerful a character is, themore it isgoing to cost in the store. Outfits also range in price, with the rarer costumes costing the most out of the options. The good news here is that progressing through episodes will net you enough Zeni to buy everything you need in the store and more. Replaying your favorite fights will also still allow you to gain more Zeni too.

Using Dragon Balls for Wishes

The three dragons will help with gaining new items and characters.

With the “Come Forth…” menu option, you’ll be able to use Dragon Balls to summon the dragons. SummoningShenronwill grant you several options. you may get more Zeni for shop items, raise your Player Level, unlock more titles, complete episode battles, and gain new outfits. WhileSuper Shenroncan grant Player Levels, Zeni, outfits, ability items, titles, as well as new characters for you to play. There are three dragons in total, but these two will be the easiest to gather Dragon Balls for and make your wish for some new characters and costumes. There is one downside to this though; they will only grant a selection of a few characters at a time.

This means that Shenron might not have your select character for you to wish for when you first use the Dragon Balls. The Dragon Balls can be obtained from alternate episode paths as well as completing challenges for Zeno.
