Starfieldis a title that has been criticized by an array of fans and critics. From the game’s opening hours, sloppy writing leads to a lifeless and empty world. Complaints regarding the game took over the Internet at one point in time.

Bethesda seems to be hellbent on getting glory for Starfield.

On June 9, alongside the 2024 Xbox Game Showcase, Bethesda gave fans a taste of what was about to come for the title in terms of expansions and shadow-dropped new content and also extended support to the game’s community by overhauling the game’s modding capability.

Starfield’s Newly Added Creations Club Is a Blessing for Players

Ever since the company’s space RPG came out, the game’s subreddit became a medium for fans to discuss what the title did wrong and what it did right. For example, one fan suggested that if theImmersive Camera mod fromSkyrimwere carried over toStarfield,it could make a world of difference to the latter title.

While the game supported mods using some workarounds, thanks to Bethesda, something like that is no longer required, and playing with mods has become much more hassle-free. This was also highlighted on r/starfieldmods:

But something that Bethesda did for the players goes beyond the game’s newly added official mod support. For example, on Xbox, the game now allows players to add 100 GB of mods using the newly added Creations feature.

Nope there are free mods available

While other games from the company have officially supported Mods, this differs in the number of mods one can install, especially on a console. And the 100 GB limit will allow players to experience the game like never before.

Starfield’s Whopping 100 GB of Mod Capacity on Xbox Truly Redefines the Game’s Potential

Starfieldmods aren’t something novel, at least for PC. But now that the game officially supports modding on consoles, too, it could mean that players who felt there was an overall lack of prominent and meaningful content can add more content.

Something worth noting is that the capacity to add mods on Xbox is gigantic compared toFallout 4,which only supported 2 GB of mods on the console.

This was even less thanSkyrim,a 2011 title that supported 5 GB of mods installed at a time. Even before official support was confirmed, people created profound custom experiencesin the game. Now that it is doable on consoles, it seems like the sky is the limit.
