During Gamescom Opening Night Live on Tuesday, Xbox and Bethesda announced there will be a Nintendo Switch 2 version ofIndiana Jones and the Great Circle. We’ve also found out that the DLC, The Order of Giants, will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC on June 27, 2025.

A Launch for Switch 2 Players

Previously released on the PS5, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle takes another leap from its initial Xbox exclusivity to the Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2026. There is no word on whether some exclusive features will appear on the Switch 2 version, such as a new mode or enhanced Joy-Con functionality. We’ll just have to wait to hear more details.

What we do know is that The Order of Giants is a new story-based DLC that has Indiana exploring the underground of Rome, Italy. He’s doing this to uncover the dark secrets of the Nephilim Order. It’s thwarted with danger, however, as Indiana has to take down cultists and solve puzzles to find the ultimate reward. This storyline takes place in the same timeline as the main game. It also has a new soundtrack and additional locations to explore, such as the River Tibet and Cloaca Maxima.

Those who purchased the Premium Edition, Premium Upgrade, Collector’s Edition, or Collector’s Bundle of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will have access to this new DLC when it comes out in September. You’ll also be able to purchase The Order of Giants separately. Thankfully, for PS5 players, this downloadable content launches on their console the same day as Xbox and PC.

Not a Swing and a Miss

Indy’s latest adventure has been praised across the board by critics and fans of the source material. “While it’s not the most technically innovative game and it could use an upgrade in the combat department, it’s still one of the most entertaining games of the year, and a much more faithful continuation of the Indiana Jones franchise than the most recent films in the series,” said our4/5 review.

Even the man who played Indiana Jones himself, Harrison Ford, praised Troy Baker’s performanceas Henry Walton Jones Jr.“You don’t need artificial intelligence to steal my soul," said Ford to theWall Street Journal. “You can already do it for nickels and dimes with good ideas and talent,” he commented on Baker’s role in the game. He said Troy Baker “did a brilliant job, and it didn’t take AI to do it.”

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Harrison Ford last played the role of Indiana Jones in 2023’s The Dial of Destiny.

When the game was first released on U.S. store shelves late last year, it became the second best-selling game in the country, according toMat Piscatella of Circana. It only trailed behind the juggernaut Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at the time.
