Like many ofBethesda’s epically large RPG titles,Starfieldhas a ton of different items (some being more useful than others) for you to collect along your space adventure. This means you need to keep an eye on your storage and upgrade it when possible, both on your character and in your ship.

If you find yourself collecting more items than you can carry, you become “encumbered.” Your movement will be drastically slower until you offload some of that extra weight. The easiest way to do that is to simply drop some items, but for all you hoarders out there, storing the items on your ship is the best option.

Starfield Fans Displeased As Paid Mods Becomes Increasingly Likely

Starfield fans believe paid mods are on the horizon after the introduction of Skyrim’s new ‘Bethesda Game Studios Creations’.

So, you’ve discovered Akila City for the first time. There’s plenty to loot, plenty to buy, but you’ve overdone it and now must make the tediously slow journey back to your ship to store some of your items. If, like many other Starfield players, you’re sick of walking back and forth to your ship, there’s actually a much easier method that Starfield fails to inform you about.

If Only We Knew Sooner…

One Reddit user by the name ofwelshdruid24has taken to the Starfield subreddit to enlighten the masses. In their post earlier today, they detailed howplayers only need to be within 250m of their ship to store cargo on it. Essentially, this means that players don’t need to be directly inside of their ship to transfer cargo from the player character to the ship.

To take advantage of this handy tricky, simply make sure you’re within 250m of your ship, go to the game’s menu, navigate to your ship, followed by cargo, and simply move items from your personal inventory into your ship’s cargo. Voila!

Although this may be an obvious trick for some players, others responded by praising the discovery. “Solid tip,” one user said, whilst another said, “This is the best tip that I hate cause I’ve been struggling being a loot goblin.”

This trick is certainly handy to know, but it still doesn’t solve the issue of character capacity and ship storage having limits. If you’re a super hoarder and you’ve filled up both your personal inventory and ship cargo, there is another feature that many players aren’t aware of. Inside of The Lodge there are two storage boxes down in the basement, neither of which have storage limits. Simply store your items inside of them and come back to them whenever you need.
