InXile Entertainment the developers ofThe Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deeprelease a new video that highlights the game’s soundtrack, featuring Gaelic folk singers including the singer from Simple Minds, Ged Grimes. Along with the video comes new of reaching their first goal, which was awishlist initiative announced last month.

The forefront of inXile’s Bard’s Tale IV is their soundtrack, which features Gaelic music. The game is inspired by the Scotland, set in the world of Caith. The video explores the inspiration and some of the music that is in the game.
Along with this new video we get news that the developers have reached their first milestone in their wishlist initiative onSteamandGOG. Last month, inXile announced that they would be reducing the title’s price if they reached 100k in wishlisters. They have tripled that amount this month with reaching 300k. This means the price will drop from $39.99 to $39.95. Their next goal is 500k which will induce a further price drop to $29.95 and new free content for all game owners.
A special campaign has been set up for those in Poland, if they reach 30k wishlisters from the Polish region an item called the Golden Onion, it will be released for all owners of the game.
CEO Brian Fargo has said they have “…been very happy with fan response to the Initiative, that said, we’re going to continue to push this Initiative in the short time we have left.”
The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deepwill be launching this month on the PC platform onSeptember 18, and is expected to jointhe PS4, Xbox One, Mac and Linux later on.
