Gladius Moveset
Description
Headbutt and Bites
The three-headed beast will propel itself forward with a headbutt or bite.

Long Bladed Swipe
One of the most common attacks that can catch you off guard due to its range, Gladius will swing his giant blade at a long range, and follow it up with the same attack in the opposite direction.
Heavenly Sword
Gladius will send his blade into the sky towards you. He will then recall it after it hits the ground.
Separation
Our three-headed friend will break off into three separate bodies, making the fight a little more challenging.
Fiery Sword
Gladius will plunge his sword into the ground while on fire, and then send a long fiery blast forward.
Long Bladed Swipe Followup
This is the same as phase 1, but there is an added plunge attack towards one ally.
Fire Breath
While in this fiery phase, Gladius will occasionally target a player with a fire blast.
The first thing you need to look out for is the swinging blade. Gladius will swing his chained blade at a 270-degree angle in front of him. This is followed up with the same attack in the opposite direction. This happens very quickly. You will either need to roll out of the way and then immediately roll again, or simply outrange it. It will then be followed up with a fiery plunge at a targeted ally in the second phase.

The other attack to look out for is the Heavenly Strike, which will send the giant blade into the sky and down onto a party member. Do not immediately run towards Gladius unless you’re at an off angle from the blade, because he will recall the blade, and it can do a lot of follow-up damage.
The second phase is around the 50% mark (maybe a little earlier) where our three-headed Cerberus-like wolf splits into three separate creatures. This makes things significantly harder, especially if you’re playing solo. These three have a mind of their own, and can swap between targets on a fly, similar to the regular Gladius and other bosses. This means that you may be attacking one, and his sibling will come running directly at you from behind without any notice. You should grab one of the three Galdius’ while your party members grab the other two, and always make sure you have an eye on the other. Never keep your back to them, otherwise they might stab you in the back.

It’s also ill-advised to group them up. Even though Ultimate attacks like Guardian may be useful to hit all three, it’s best to save that for a downed ally. Instead, separate them, otherwise they might blow fire in your direction, or consecutively charge at you. After a short while, the three will converge back into a single entity, with them breaking up at certain intervals throughout the fight if it drags on too long.
This is meant to be the first boss you face, so it’s not overly complicated. These are the main mechanics that you will need to worry about, as dodging the blade is the main objective, with the separation between bodies being the other threat.
