The PS5 and PC remaster ofUntil Dawndebuted at a disappointing position in the U.K. sales charts last week, according to GFK Entertainment Software Charts. It ended up in 14th place behind the likes of Sonic Superstars, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Grand Theft Auto V. Even last year’s EA Sports FC sold better than Until Dawn.

While Until Dawn takes 14th place, EA Sports FC 25 once again takes top position in the U.K. sales charts. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is also doing well as it’s jumped up from 10th to 6th place this week.
Unfortunately, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed saw a sharp drop from fourth place all the way down to 26th.Our reviewsaid it was a fantastic retelling of the original Wii classic, stating “Purple Lamp did a fantastic job of remaking the game from scratch with grand visuals.” Outright Games' SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game also saw a tepid response from the United Kingdom audience as it debuted at 39th place.

Until Dawn is not Getting the Best Response from PC Gamers
Getting back to Until Dawn, the game hasn’t received the best of responses from players on PC throughSteam. It currently has a Mixed rating from 587 reviews. This is likely due to a PlayStation Network account being required to play the single-player game.
“The game doesn’t feel particularly optimised, despite having way better than the recommended system requirements,” said one reviewer, TheGamingNorwood. “I still got a few bits of lag throughout the game.”

This reimagined version of Until Dawn contains new content including collectables, environments, re-cut narrative sequences, and even endings that tease a sequel. There’s also a third-person camera and a new musical score for the cinematic game. However, you should know thatthe song “O Death” isn’t presentin this version, strangely. To hopefully make us for this absence, the game’s been rebuilt from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5 by the developer Ballistic Moon with Nvidia DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3 upscaling support.
Despite not selling well in the United Kingdom (at least at this point), Until Dawn is worthy of being played during Halloween. “Until Dawn is scary and will have your heart racing, but it would have been much more effective if the jump scares were cut in half saving only the most clever and more focus was placed on atmospheric horror,” saidour original 2015 reviewof the Until Dawn PS4 version. “Supermassive did an impeccable job crafting a dread-filled atmosphere and that’s true horror.”
