Escape from Tarkovhas always remained mysterious with regard to their wipes. For those who don’t know what a wipe is, it is basically an introduction to a new season with a “wipe” to all the player’s progress. There are some signs that the game is heading into a wipe, but we can never tell when exactly the wipe is coming. Pre-wipe events are precursors to the wipe, but these events can last from a week to three weeks. However, other signs surely mean there is a wipe coming. Here are all the details.

When is the 0.15 Patch Wipe Coming in Escape from Tarkov?

With how things are looking, it looks like Battlestate Games may tease and release a few more pre-wipe events andultimately wipe on Thursday, August 22, 2025. It is still speculation, but some might call it an educated wish.

Historically, the wipe always hits on a Thursday, and at the same time, the Battlestate Games usually announce the exact date of the wipe one or two days before the wipe. This means that August 15 or 16 is out of the question, and it does make sense that it won’t hit on those days because the pre-wipe event just started. However, with how mysterious and erratic Battlestate Games has become when it comes to these announcements, there’s no way of saying exactly when the wipe will come out.

Thetrue sign of a wipe dateshould come in two forms: an announcement of a wipe througha cryptic imageand an official announcement oftechnical maintenance that should last for eight hours or more.
